About the area

Soho’s properties come in a range of styles. There aren’t many detached homes on the market; instead, the multi-million-pound properties tend to be period townhouses with multiple bedrooms and impressive living spaces. Overall, the market is dominated by apartments; from sprawling penthouses to bijou studio flats.

Many of the older properties for sale in Soho are either Georgian or Edwardian, though you’ll also find some incredible warehouse conversions too, which often come with exposed ironwork and bricks. Developers have been hard at work in the area as well, which means there are plenty of new-build contemporary apartments for homebuyers to choose from.

Soho is a fairly exclusive location to live in, and as such, many of the townhouses and luxury penthouses come with a high price-tag. However, there are some more affordable flats for sale in Soho, which are usually snapped up quickly by first-time buyers.

The area has a real sense of personality and culture, which brings people of all ages here. Young professionals appreciate the nightlife, while older retirees love the proximity to everything the capital has to offer. Demand for rental accommodation is also high here, which makes it a popular spot for entrepreneurial landlords.

We’re located nearby, and as a result, we know Soho’s streets inside-out. If you want to find the perfect house or flat in Soho , or want to ask any questions about what it’s like to live in this location, just get in contact with the RIB team today on 0207 637 0821.

Soho

Soho has changed significantly, in a relatively short space of time. Only a few short decades ago, the area was synonymous with the seedier side of the capital, with strip-clubs and dingy bars lining the streets. These days, while it retains its edginess, it’s more known for being a cultural hub, with thousands flocking to its streets to eat, drink, and enjoy some high-quality entertainment.

Soho also has a strong, independent personality, not to mention a real sense of community. As you wander through the area, you’ll notice the wealth of boutique shops, family-run restaurants and cool music venues – all of which the locals are fiercely protective over.

As far as transport links go, it’s hard to find a place that’s better connected. Soho is served by four tube stations; Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square. There are also numerous buses operating in the area, and thanks to the central location, it’s easy to get to many of the city’s best-loved attractions on foot.

You’ll find everything you need in Soho, right outside your front door. There are shops aplenty, gyms, convenience stores, supermarkets, museums, and much more. Alternatively, you can catch the tube to nearby Oxford Street, which is regarded as one of the best shopping districts in the world.
