Four Changes to Your Office Fitout to Help with Social Distancing

May 29, 2020    |   Panny Antoniou

With many offices preparing to reopen, we look at some of the ways you can change your office fitout to help with social distancing during this pandemic.

  1. Upgrade audio/visual software in boardrooms.

Whilst many offices will not be able to accommodate all staff in the office at the same time, upgrading audio and visual software in boardrooms will allow all staff members to participate in team meetings far more easily. This will help them feel more included and part of office life on the days they are working from home.

  1. Divider Screens.

This is one of the simplest and most effective steps an office can take to reduce the risk of Coronavirus transmission. These barriers will allow for greater office densities in smaller or more crowded spaces as well as creating a physical barrier which stops the spread of the virus.

  1. Demarcate Spaces.

Clear signage and tape on the floor indicating a safe distance will be one of the most common steps used when reopening offices. This will allow team members to stay the correct distance apart from each other when moving around the office, allowing them to get to and from their desk safely.

  1. Hand Sanitiser Stations.

This is an important way to ensure that cleanliness and hygiene methods are kept in place to prevent the spread of the virus. This should be placed strategically near surfaces which are likely to be touched often such as interior and exterior doors and lift buttons.
