Our Favourite Pizzas in The West End

At Robert Irving Burns we love pizza, so on National Pizza Day, we look at all the best places in and around the West End for you to get a delicious slice.

Pizza Pilgrims:

Located in Kingly Court, Carnaby’s famous three storey al fresco dining destination, Pizza Pilgrims serves some of the tastiest pizza in the capital. Their no-frills service with traditional Neapolitan pizzas including Nduja, Portobello mushroom and truffle, and marinara. In addition, they also serve a number of southern Italian delicacies including deep fried courgette flowers, mortadella croquettes, and pizza frittas – fried calzones filled with a variety of delicious ingredients. There is no shortage of restaurants in Kingly Court, however, Pizza Pilgrims run by sibling duo Thom, and James Elliot has stood the test of time and remains a Soho favourite.

Homeslice:

Located on Wells Street in Fitzrovia, Homeslice is renowned for its innovative toppings and has won multiple industry awards. Featuring pizzas including ingredients such as pickled carrots, harissa, sumac yoghurt, and kimchi, they certainly have a wide range of exciting flavours for the discerning palate. However, for those less adventurous foodies, they also feature a margherita pizza, and a salami, rocket, and parmesan pizza. Homeslice is widely regarded as one of the foodie gems of Fitzrovia and is well worth a visit.

Basilico:

Located on Crawford Street in Marylebone, Basilico’s wood-fired ovens produce some of the best pizzas in the capital. They have a wide range of toppings to suit every taste; from a quattro formaggi pizza with four delicious cheeses, to a pizza zucca which includes butternut squash and crispy pancetta. Basilico also have a variety of juices and smoothies which are are delicious way to get your five a day! As the first pizza delivery company to gain a red star in London’s Time Out Magazine, Basilico pride themselves on their customer service and use the highest quality ingredients to create their artisan pizzas. This growing chain with branches around the capital is one of our favourites here at Robert Irving Burns!

ICCO:

Located on Goodge Street in Fitzrovia, ICCO is a family run pizzeria. Having been founded in 1999, they have become a staple part of Fitzrovia life. ICCO pride themselves on their value for money and are one of the most affordable pizza places in the West End area. The shop has a relaxed feel and a theatre kitchen so customers can see their pizzas being made by their trained chefs. With fresh dough made every day, this pizza is always made with the best possible ingredients while also taking account value for money – ideal for those looking for gourmet pizza on a budget.
