Property Sold at Auction
We are delighted to announce the sale of a property located at 89 East Street, Bedminster, Bristol BS3 on behalf of our private client.
About the property
Bedminster is located in the southern part of Bristol. It was once a small Somerset town and the settlement is believed to have Roman origins. The area is centred on East Street and West Street, meaning that the subject Bedminster property is in prime location within Bedminster. The area has a strong industrial past, having previously been home to a coalfield as well as a shipbuilder, a tannery, a glue work, a smelters, and a paint and glass factory. The area was heavily bombed during World War Two as part of the Bristol Blitz and later town planning moved most of the heavy industry out of the area and to more rural areas south of Bedminster.
The subject Bedminster property is a freehold mid terraced period property which is arranged as a ground floor retail unit occupied by the Card Company with both upper floors vacant. East Street is a pedestrianised high street location located within one mile of Bristol City Centre. The two vacant upper floors meant that the subject property offered a number of potential development opportunities subject to the necessary planning permission.
We were delighted to have sold this property at auction alongside Hollis Morgan. We look forward to selling and acquiring more properties in Bristol in the future.
