Marylebone is one of the most sought after residential areas in London and is famous for its village feel, right in the heart of London’s West End.
Thayer Street is one of the most famous streets in the Marylebone area, it runs from the junction of Hinde Street, Mandeville Place, and Bentinck Street in the south, to Marylebone High Street, Marylebone Lane, and Blandford Street in the north. Most of the street is composed of older terraced housing and small shops, however there is one exception to this rule. Heron Place is a fantastic mixed-use building which was constructed in the 1960s and recently refurbished in 2014. This makes it the ideal place to live, giving you the experience of living in the historic Marylebone area, whilst also having all the luxury of a more modern property.
There is a wealth of things to do in the area surrounding Thayer Street with many bars, clubs, and restaurants in the area. These include Burlock, a rum bar serving Caribbean food with never ending happy hours, and The Marylebone which serves a wide variety of botanically infused cocktails. The Thayer Street area has something to suit all tastes and you are certain to find something which you enjoy.
In addition, there are a number of restaurants in the area, ranging from gourmet burger chains Tommi’s Burger Joint, and Patty and Bun to Cocochan, the Pan-Asian restaurant on James Street. In addition, Thayer Street is just a stone’s throw away from St Christopher’s Place, the famous pedestrianised street, lined with restaurants to suit every taste. The proximity of Thayer Street to world renowned department store Selfridges and shopping destination Oxford Street means that residents will never be short of places to do their shopping.
