Robert Irving Burns’ Residential Lettings Department has gone from strength to strength in 2018 with many new landmark lettings and the team almost doubling in size.

Whilst ongoing Brexit negotiations and the uncertainty they cause have affected most areas of the property industry, the Residential Lettings sector has thrived as the build to rent industry continues to grow. In addition, many property developers are being pragmatic about their properties, often offering properties which were originally built to be sold off as lettings instead.

The Residential Lettings market has seen record volumes of stock come available as the previous tenancy cycle ends with more and more rental properties coming to the market. The demographic who are letting properties in Central London have remained largely similar with a mix of professionals and international students. However, there has been an increase in IT and technology professionals due to the nearby presence of technology giants such as Facebook in Fitzrovia and Google in Kings Cross. In addition, there has been a reduction in the number of families renting homes in the area and there is more high end stock available.

A key part of our success is our recruitment with further Lettings Advisors helping us deal with the high levels of stock available. This has additionally enabled us to continue to improve the level of service which we provide to clients – both new and existing.
