The latest figures suggest that transactions for City of London office space have reached a value of £443.4m, this is almost double the 2017 total of £296.2m.

There was a total of six deals which were done for commercial offices in the City of London in January. British investors accounted for half of these with international investors – primarily based in Asia – accounted for the other half.

There has also been an increase in new instructions in the City of London area since the start of the year, with £1.7bn in assets coming to the market since January.

In the City of London, there are currently around £2.7bn worth of properties which are currently under offer and about £500m of these have gone under offer from the beginning of January onwards.

This shows that the London office market remains vibrant and dynamic, despite fears that the uncertainty surrounding Brexit would quell demand from companies looking to base themselves in London.
