Changes to the Liberalised Remittance Scheme in India in 2015 have been taken advantage of by buyers who are now able to bring even more money into the UK.
This choice to invest in London Property reflects the confidence which investors have in the capital, despite fears over Brexit. With many landmark purchases in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the City of Westminster. Indian buyers now account for 22% of prime London purchases in the year 2016-17, having accounted for just 5% two years ago. This rapid rise reflects the level of trust which increasingly affluent Indians have in London and the London Property Market.
